NICK CIMITY

is an American composer for both film and television based in Los Angeles. He has written music for prominent TV series Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head and Duncanville, and the documentary film Zappa.

Nick Cimity is a composer known for blending acoustic and electronic instruments to craft emotionally evocative music for film and TV.

Nick’s recent projects include co-scoring the thriller feature film The Observance with Grammy Award-winning composer Penka Kouneva (Prince of Persia, Gears of War 3), directed by Robert Hollocks (The Watcher, Mister Sleep). He also composed the music for the award-winning indie short films I Won’t Tell and See You Tomorrow, Ms. Sally, written and directed by Kip Knight (Project Gloria, The Void), and Driving Separately, directed by Dexter Pierce (The Blue Print) and co-written by Pixie Indigo (New Normal, Females Unfiltered Show) and Pierce.

As a voting member of the Television Academy Nick’s television work includes additional music on two seasons of the popular TV series Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head (Paramount+) and three seasons on the animated series Duncanville (Fox) alongside award-winning composer John Frizzell (Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe, Office Space, Alien Resurrection, The Following), with whom he apprenticed for six years.

Nick has actively contributed to various high-profile projects, including additional orchestrations to the HMMA Award-winning score of Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe (Paramount+) and The Possession of Hannah Grace (Screen Gems), as well as additional music on the award-winning feature documentary Zappa (Magnolia Pictures) and the four-part documentary series The Bond (Discovery+).

Raised in Los Angeles, Nick grew up playing the guitar and piano, but spent most of his younger years pursuing hockey as a profession.

Nick lives and works out of his studio in Los Angeles.
